Main features
HyperFoam is a low cost breakthrough technology in chemical
foaming agent based plastic foam injection moulding. HyperFoam
can achieve: elimination of shrinkage, sink marks and warpage;
dimensional stability; 10-30% of part weight reduction; and
shortened cycle time. HyperFoam can achieve:
- Up to 50-60% clamping force reduction
- Reduction on operational power consumption
- Up to 10-30% part weight reduction
HyperFoam adopts high pressure injection principle. High
pressure injection principle means fusing carbon dioxide gas,
produced by chemical foaming agent with polymer melt under
the supercritical state. When this supercritical fluid is
injected into the mould cavity, HyperFoaming occurs with instantaneous
cell nucleation takes place, forming a honeycomb like structural
foam upon cooling. With the principle, HyperFoam is a completed
solution for applying foam injection moulding to lower production
cost and to make high quality foamed part in stable and accurate
dimensions.
To execute this principle mentioned above, the intricate
operation of a few accessories is required. HyperFoam operates
with an endothermic (heat absorbing) chemical foaming agent,
a nitrogen injection accumulator and a high pressure shut
off nozzle. With these components work together, HyperFoam
miraculously makes foamed plastic part consistent and reliable.
HyperFoam can be used for manufacturing of automotive parts,
electrical appliances, household products, electronic products,
storage products, furniture, and many more application to
be discovered.
HyperFoam is co-developed by Welltec Machinery Ltd. and China
Venture International Ltd. This innovative technology is patent
pending in China.
